Hi all, these are some beautiful reefers. Definetly picking em up. My question is since lionel and mth both have O scale out do you have a preference of one over another. All responses very welcome. Thank you

Lionel somewhere on the door sides of the car have some sort of "Built by Lionel 20xx". For a real nick picker, FAIL!
All three are good enough for me as regards size, features, and appearance. I have about a half dozen of each. In my experience, the new Lionel ones roll with noticeably less friction: they are just awesome - I took them out of the box and set them on a nearly-level track, where most every car just stays put when I set it up. Each of them started rolling, very slowly, down to the end of the layout, as soon as it was on the rails and I released it. Uncanny!
I have Lionel, Atlas, and MTH Slogan cars. They all have their own pros and cons. If you can find the Lionel cars, pick them up for sure.
I have the Lionel and I rebuilt the roof hatches toi match prototype.

I see those hatch door rest brackets also are a grab rails when the door is secured closed, very useful and neat.

I own a lot of all three manfs.
Like said above, each has pros and cons. Generally, they are all nice cars and you can't go wrong with any of them. I personally prefer the Lionel, no specific reason.
The reefers are my favorite cars, I just love them. Look fantastic running down the track! Especially behind big scale steamers!
