Lionel set 9873 Santa Fe | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I came into a really nice uncataloged set from 1961. On the set box it says 9873, I have John Schmid's book on Lionel Promotional Sets and it does not appear in there. Its a gorgeous set, military set. Has a double blade chopper. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I believe it is a Sears set. Thanks in advance. I will post pics when I can later..

There is a book called The Toy Train Department that delves into train sets sold through Sears. If you can get a copy of that, it might be a resource for your search.
