I'm sure the more cynical among us will disagree but I'd say JLC is smiling.
Thanks for posting these and will be looking forward to this weekend!

What is in the bins at the play station?

They are full of track for kids to play with.
Reminds me of the Brio tables that our local Train shop used to have. Also a upscale "Toy" store in one of the local malls. There were always kids playing with the trains.
I think it became a problem at the toy store because parents would drop off their kids to play with the trains while they shopped elsewhere.
If I recall correctly, the store was called "The Early Learning Center", or something like that. Periodically they had some fantastic bargains on Brio trains and accessories. We bought whatever they had on sale (if we didn't already have it).
Good Luck to Lionel!
I really like this and you can tell there was a lot of thought behind it. How can you not stop in when they have that bright orange sign stand out like that. I wish them well.

Ah yes, a life-test station. They can learn a lot about durability from a group of kids!
You reckon the Lionel Play Station qualifies as a dealer display!?!?!? I call dibs!!!!
It is interesting to see the M&Ms thing hanging on the wall of the store. MTH had that M&M license for many years, but hasn't released anything for a few years now.

It's too far away for me to see but, given Lionel's involvement in Nascar diecast, that may be a hood from the M&M's Nascar race car. In fact, although it's been years since I was there, that may be the same store front where Nascar had their own retail shop in the mall.
I wish them success.
Control Scott ……. control!
Um maybe I should have said restraint?
