Noted a new commercial from WeatherTech with a Lionel Train in a store window. Nice looking paint scheme on the train.

The set looks like a cosmetically altered 6-84787 "The Claus". The caboose (84791) is unmistakable and looks unmodified. The locomotive smokebox has been "de-lettered" and the red stripe extended to the cab area, while the tender has been changed to a solid red stripe, the boxcar "de-lettered" and the tank car swapped for a gondola.
The Noma station has been altered too...
I was about to start a thread about just seeing this commercial tonight, and did a Google search for the ad and saw that a OGR thread already started as a search result. But with the OGR poor search engine you would never have found this thread, resulting in two threads running.
So what I remembered was:
Commercial opens with mom, dad, and junior walking by a store Junior stop and stares at the Lionel (?) train ala Christmas Story, running in a loop past a Noma talking station, then through advertisers products. Dad is also mesmerized, but at the Weather Tech gadgets.
So anyway, my business professor of 50 years ago would have said "Madison Avenue would love you, you remembered the advertiser and product details!!" Of course now whether I would buy their products is another matter.

I didn't notice anything different on station when I stopped ad.

The corner post are missing.
I have ad blockers on so I never saw the ads but I really liked the train, WT is way too expensive for my pocket book
@rrman posted:Good catch. Wonder if that was deliberate alteration for some copyright/trademark reason, or it was just from someones collection and came modified that way. Guess we will never know.
My guess is one or two were missing, so they knocked the rest off.
