Now I know what Legacy Station's back room looks like.

FedEx dropped off an engine from Legacy Station for me this past Tuesday. Not as zoomy as your locos and cars, but it was my parting shot "souvenir" purchase from MTH's Last Catalogue - and I don't even run DCS, really. Gulf, Mobile & Ohio silver/crimson Alco RS-1.  Gorgeous little thing.

Always loved the GS-1, long before the modern 3RO era; wrestled with ordering one - the Pilot version - but I "won" the argument and did not. Now, of course, especially after your video, I am not sure that I "won".

Smoke effects are very cool. I wonder how the color match would be for the 18" aluminum Daylight cars from 2005, though. I wouldn't be interested in one of these new GS engines if it weren't a precise match. Probably not worth $1,800+ to find out. Those cars do perfectly match the no. 11129 from 2008 (the first scale Legacy Daylight GS-4).

I noticed a small defect on the 4449 engine in the video. The left top handrail on the tender is too short, and doesn't make it to the last rear stanchion, so is left hanging. Not sure how difficult that would be to replace, or if the part will be available.

It's not short.  Look again, it's just pushed forward to far.  Plenty of railing on the other end.

What you think is a problem may depend on your experience. Had a Milwaukee S3 a few years ago. $1500 engine. Had two broken stanchions, and the handrails were loose. Turned out to be a problem, because Lionel didn't have any of those size stanchions for replacement. It was a lot more of an issue than a speck of dust!

The wire in the video has just slid forward in the stanchion.  Sliding it back will remedy the problem.  I can't speak to your issue but the one in the video is easily fixed by sliding back into place.
