A few years back I purchased a gently used ZW-L transformer which has been serving me quite well since then. It's been powering my two Christmas tree tracks for a few weeks and has been working fine in command mode. Today I began having an issue with my A-U throttle not shutting off completely in either command or conventional mode. It's always putting out 10-12V in the zero volt position and increases to the full 20 volts at the far end of its travel as it's supposed to. I've also lost the voltmeter and ammeter functions (also no backlight on ammeter unless showing a reading for B-U) for that throttle, although the voltmeter and ammeters do show voltage for the B-U throttle handle as it should.
In reading the manual, the A-U Ammeter backlight being off should be the overload signal for that A-U output, however it continues to stay off even when nothing is connected to the transformer and it has been shut off and turned back on.
Has anybody else experienced these issues? I seem to recall reading somewhere that these are fairly impossible to get serviced by Lionel?
