Lionmaster big boy w/legacy

The problem is after running the locomotive for 15-20 minutes and I shut it down, it starts up (sound & voice & bells & whitles all work fine) the problem is the Big Boy will not move for a couple hours or longer. I'll take it off the track (after power is off) set it aside and the next day return it to the rails and it will move out.

My question is, could it have a board that is over heating and shut the locomotive (Big Big) down, til the board cools down?

Well, my top suspect would be the motor driver. Of course, hard to be more specific with no actual product number.
