Name the locomotives that should be operating together, or should be in one place together.
Despite being an NJ railfan, I would like to see GW #60 and #90 return to Colorado or somewhere out west.

Why? So that they would/could NEVER run again?

Ok, fair point. But at the least, maybe Strasburg and Black River could organize some type of double header where 60 could stay at Strasburg for a while. I understand what you mean by them never running again. Here's another one. CNJ 592 and CNJ 113.
I really wish the Pere Marquette SW-1 #11 was at the Steam Railroading Institute alongside 1225.
4449 and the Cab Forward in Sacramento.
Any preserved GG1's.
I for one would LOVE to see NKP 765 and NKP 587 doublehead again like they did in 93' but with the current situation with 587, it's more likely I'll win the lottery before that happens.

A winning lottery ticket is what the folks at Noblesville could use - that pesky need for funds to finish off 587 is a problem.
765 and 763.

True, but their problems are a LOT bigger than 587 right now. Never mind the fact that even IF they COULD get her finished, AND they are allowed back onto the HHPA rail line, they are STILL landlocked.
How about the something more do able ... like the 1225 double heading with the 765 ?
The last two Lackawanna steam engines.
I'd settle for a "dummy" GG-1 behind about anything.
PRR 7000, 7006, and 7048......all mighty fine Nines, and already in PRR paint ! Huzzah !
Milwaukee 261 and Soo Line 2719!! Either that, or 2 CB&Q O-5 Northerns with a couple dozen heavyweights in tow.
C&O 614 and C&O 2716 through the New River Gorge.
I would like to see a triple-header from Revelstoke to Calgary with CPR Hudsons # 2816 # 2860 and Selkirk # 5931 pulling the "Royal Canadian Pacific".
I probably have a better chance of seeing the Toronto Maple Leafs winning the Stanley Cup(maybe not) Lol

If only that were possible.
NYC Hudson 5344 and Niagara 6000
Lehigh Valley T-1 4-8-4 5100 and Reading T-1 2100. LV T-1's inspired Reading T-1's
A Blue Comet Pacific and Jersey Central's Master Mechanic George Rink's never-built 4-8-4
CB&O 5629 at the Colorado Railroad Museum and 5632. Add 2-8-2 4960 for a triple-header
The late George Hart ran Reading Locomotive Shop Switcher 1251 on the Ma and Pa. Go back there and doublehead with Jersey Central 0-6-0 113. Someone suggested 113 and 592, so I could go with that, too. Tripleheader, maybe?
Reading K-1se 2-10-2 3000 and a Reading N-1 2-8-8-2. The Reading rebuilt 11 N-1's into K-1's.
If we're talking non -existent locomotives.....I could come up with a few million or so !
There are three DM&IR 2-8-8-4 Yellowstones in existence, so a double or triple-header caboose hop would be nice. Too much work in one sentence? Thought so.

4960 looks nothing like a Q locomotive anymore. How's about 4963 at IRM?

Not to mention that, 5632 was scrapped a LONG TIME AGO!

I'm surprised no one mentioned two existing locos currently at Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke that may have actually run together in the past - N&W Y6a 2156 and A 1218. Doubleheaded on Blue Ridge with a present day coal train??
1361&3750,
