Each time I log into a forum, I check the box marked "Remember Me".  I also check the box at the bottom of my screen asking if I want to memorize my login and password.  No good.  I still have to enter both every time I want to reply to a message.

Go Here and follow the instructions remember passwords and fill out web forms

This exposes those in IE. I am trying to get Credential manager to work, which stores the information in a secure vault. This will resolve the issue. Change the settings. Log out. Log back in. Log out again. That should save. Now, return to the website again and you should be automatically logged-in.

Burfle,

I have to fire up my XP machine. I don't recall the procedure. Don't use XP much anymore as it will be extinct on April 14, 2014.

CW,

Well, I could only get it to show the auto complete so that you only have to select and click. That's better than typing, but not an auto log-in.

IE8 has the same choices as IE 11 for this. I am on XP, IE8 now and got it to work as above. I'll return to my Win 7 machine so I can capture some photos of the settings to change.

We'll have to wait for OGR or Hoop to respond to let us know if the auto log-in is possible.

Type the first letter of your user name to activate auto-complete then click on what appears from auto-complete.

I think Hoop uses a java app for the log-in. The auto sign-in may not work with it using IE. I prefer the security. The only other option for a click the OGR link and have the sign-in happen may be to use Rich's favorite- FireFox for a browser or Chrome.

See if the auto-complete gives you enough convenience.

Using Firefox (and Safari on the MAC and iPad) I have not had to log in to the OGR Forum for YEARS. It always remembers me on several different computers (office, home, laptop and iPad) and I am always logged in without having to enter anything.

It sounds like you have your security settings a little too tight and your browser is not remembering any of your login credentials after you close it.
