I'm on a seven day bike tour in the Finger Lakes. And riding down the road I saw this sign. I almost killed my buddy as I screeched to a halt to get the pic. You never know what you'll see on a bike ride.

I hope you stopped in and said howdy to Mike.

Mike and his brother Tom are great guy's. They are about 2 hours from me and I try to order as much through them as I can. Plus the Gargraves track is made right there at their shop.
Ah, you were on “Old Ridge Road” in the town of North Rose (or is it Alden) NY.
i was lucky to live about 15 miles from Mile and Company and first went there in the mid 80s. That is when I first got hooked on GarGraves track, and I have bought A Lot of it over the years.
A great, friendly business to work with.
Enjoy the rest of your biking adventure.
Is this the same train motor doctor that repaired pitman motors and also does train repairs ?

They are not noted for Pittman repairs (doesn’t mean they can’t) but have been a Lionel Service Station since the 1930s if not earlier.
They are near Alton and North Rose. Alden is further west near Buffalo.

We were up at Lake George years ago and had a similar experience. We took a day trip to Natural Stone Bridge and Caves in Pottersville. On the road up to the Caves, we passed a familiar looking sign....
Almost gave the wife and kids whiplash from hitting the brakes so hard......
I stopped on the way back to see if I could get a peak inside but they were closed that day.

Is this their new or old location? I thought they were moving soon.
