Here is my question/problem: I run prewar Flyer 3/16"-O and some Marx 3/16" scale freights, which are all basically "S" sized. I want a diesel switcher for yard duty.

Neither manufacturer made one at the time, so am forced to look elsewhere, Lionel, etc. I have scoured around and found that no-one seems to describe car/loco size when discussing O and O-27.  I KNOW the difference between gauge and scale! All of the switchers I have found so far SEEM to be "full-sized" O (approx. 1/48).

Can anyone recommend a smaller switcher of compatible size for the cars I run? I KNOW I will have to change the couplers, so that can be ignored. Maybe I will have to get an "S" unit and extend the axles? At this point I'm open to almost any suggestion/solution. Thank you very much!
