Hi, I'm looking to have some one install warning lights into a few police cars. Can I get some recommendations please?

Here you might try this and do it yourself!

By the way, great looking engine!
Where does one get a 1:43 light bar?
The police cars are very easy to add lights to with the premade kits from Evan Designs (web link in Mike G's post above) Very reasonable price wise and a fun project. You can get the wig wag lights for the headlights and the flashing lights for the light bar. You just need a small drill bit to pop some holes in the grill and roof.
Is this the guy and cars/kits that displays every York in the Dealer Hall?.....
Jack Pearce is in the Orange Hall at York selling his cars and other items he has added LEDs to.

I used the Evans Design product. Wasn't difficult at all and turned out well

What type do you want, triangular or straight.

+1 for Evens Design (aka Model Train Software.com). I have used just about every type of LED that they stock. Go to the WEB site and "Look Around". You'll be amazed at what is available for the task you are looking to complete. My most recent project (not yet complete) is a 1/50 school bus with headlights, taillights and both red and yellow "wig-wags" all using LED's. I'll try to post if I can figure out how to post a video. Good Luck with your project.

When it says "sucess" then check the box that appears saying "insert full sized". Otherwise, folks on phones and devices may not be able to play a video, or see the picture except for the thumbnail view.
Thank you very much for your help. I have copied and pasted this information onto a WORD file for future reference.

Well, it's not a school bus but I started tinkering around with some PICO flashing LED's that I got in my last order from Even's Designs (ModelTrainSoftware.com). I have install six ( 2 of each red, white and blue) in the light bar. These are the "fast" flash LED's and when they are grouped together, the random pattern looks pretty good. The red and blue are a bit hard to see because the white LED's which are the brightest of the colors that I am using. I will be adding more lights as soon as I order them from Even's. This is my FIRST attempt to up-load a video so if it doesn't play please cut me some slack but any corrective criticism will be appreciated. BTW, this is a 1/43 model.

Bob, I think it looks good, but have you tried it with just the blue and red lights? Might look better?
On you tube , go to the ChooChoo Barn, he has videos of projects he has done with LED's, very interesting installs...

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the input. The lights look better in person than they do on video. I'm using an inexpensive camera that has a video function and I believe the white LED's dominate the red and blue LED's as a result of the camera I'm using.

As long as you like them that is what matters!
