I purchased this set at York a few years ago and was curious myself why there weren't any boxes. I had asked the vendor and he said it was purchased through an estate sale.
Mine were probably casualties from a flood. Good luck in your quest.

I just purchased this set from my local train shop and the guy they got it from had it on display in his office I guess. It would be nice to have the boxes but if I cant find them it will be ok too eh
