I've been using DCS on 6 independent loops. 5 loops are MTH engines & 1 is an Atlas engine with TMCC. I had tried to add the Turbo train to one of the loops & it would not recognize it.

I switched to conventional mode for that loop and it worked. Went back to my LHS and it came up fine on his system in DCS. At home it still would not recognize Turbo Train. I had also tried it on a test track but to no avail.

To make a long story short, I reset my 2 TIU's and my remote and have made no progress.

Remote only recognizes TIU 1 but not 2. Using TIU 1 it will recognize the Atlas engine with TMCC but no DCS engines.

Power to the tracks is from 3 Z-4000's and the TIU's are powered by Radio Shack 18 volt jobs.

I would certainly appreciate any help on this Blizzard day of no DCS. I have read Barry's book but I can't seem to grasp what I destroyed.

Snow storm is over & power has been returned. By using Barry's book on page 215 I was able to straighten out the problem of having 2 TIU's with the same number. I then was able to use my test track to add the DCS engines easily.

While going thru Barry's book I found something that I haven't done to my layout.

While my transformers are phased (All plugged into same circuit) on age 68 there is a paragraph "Connecting Transformer Common Terminals". Does this imply that using 3 Z-4000's for track power that the 2 commons on each Z-4000 should be tied into the other commons on the remaining Z-4000's. ????? Also, should my accessory transformer (Lionel RS-1) for crossing gates and signals have there commons tied in also?

Appreciate your thoughts.
