Lost some forum capabilities

Since I had HP's recommended Tech Fix service "clean" my PC, and Windows 8 did a software update (one day apart), I have lost these abilities on this forum:

-Reply to most threads. I can respond to only a few seemingly random ones. The "Reply Now" won't show so that I can click on it.

-Block or unblock a member.

-Click "Forums" hoping to get "View All".

I use Internet Explorer (I know, I know). Does this make any sense? Never had any trouble before.

Makes no sense to me. This is why I stopped doing "updates" a long time ago.

One word - FIREFOX.
