Hi Guys,
I purchased a Standard Gauge Set for my wife last year. It an find with all the bells and whistles, literally. I put it away and set it up again this years. Engine runs biut no sound, headlight or smoke. I tried recharging the battery with the external charger, still no joy. I purchased a new battery for it and before I perform surgery on it, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should be looking for once I have the beast open. Thanks.

Try the wonder command if running dcs command or the fast whistle and bell combination for conventional reset .
Menu/Advanced/ Reset engine/ Feature reset/
You bought the wife an engine????? Where did you find her? I need one....engine that is.
Actually I have bought here a lot.. I have the girls tinplate set on order for her.. Yup I have a winner here.
I will try the DCS reset and see it that fixes the issue.. Thanks.

The reset worked! However the set cam with a small hand held and lockon and didn't recognized the engine when I used it.. working with the dcs system I moved to the tree layout. I will most likely have to do a factory reset again and not add it to the dcs controller. That should work.. thanks for the help.
