Check to make sure the wireless tether is lined up
Have you checked that both volume levels via the remote are all the way up?
Here is a new one for the BOOK! Sent an E-Mail to Mike and received an answer back on the same day. He said:"Blow the Whistle and Press the Volume Up Icon" The other alternative was: Blow the Whistle,Press AUX1, then the Press the Volume Up Icon.
I tried the First suggestion, but NO change, so tried the second alternative. GUESS WHAT, MY CHUFF CAME BACK! Now that is a new one for the Book.
Thanks LIONEL and especially Mike Reagan. He is the BEST!!

Thats the "other" volume level of the "two" I mentioned, the Lionel manuals are not clear on this. Pressing the volume up arrow repeatedly raises the overall volume level.
Pressing AUX1- vol. up, Aux1- vol.up.... raises the chuff and other background sounds.
If you don't press AUX-1 prior to each vol up you cannot access the background volume adjustment.
FWIW I always recieve immediate email responses, thats the way to go when you have a question/problem.
Glad you got it fixed!
Fred, Mike is a big help. Sorry, I figured you did all of that.
Sometimes, the simplest things bite us in the butt, I'm sure we've all been there.
IF you just press aux 1 and then the volume a number of times what does it raise, just the background sounds. The whistle on my c&o T1 has a rather soft whistle but loud other sounds. Is there a way to get the whistle louder?
Crank the volume up full on the tender control, then use the standard volume control and see how loud you can get it.
Thanks everyone for your Input. I think there is something learned by us all. Thanks RickO & Marty, you are right, I forgot there were two types of Volume Control. How soon we forget!!!
Thanks again!
Fred
