ive got some MTH o27 passenger cars (RK6001, RK600# etc), and the uncouple plunger (when uncoupled) is hanging so low it hits the o27 track and shorts it out. (pictures are of the cars coupled/connected)
Is there any solution?

Paint some Liquid Tape on the bottom. Coupler will still work, but it won't short the track.

what!? i never knew that product existed, and im always keeping my eyes open for that sort of thing.
What else is liquid tape used for?!?
I use it occasionally for chaffed wires if it looks like a PITA to pull out and splice it. I also use it a lot around LED lighting to block back-scatter, it's great for that use. Don't leave home without it.
When things like this are posted, it is great, one of the wonderful things this blog offers, spreading knowledge, but as here, often omitted is where poster was able to buy the product? What is available on Long Island may be unknown and unavailable in Tacoma. Or here, as l never heard of this, either. May, as, many "obscure" products are, be as hard to find locally as a train shop.

I just checked and it's available at home depot , lowes, and amazon
I had a hot glue gun and glue sticks available, so I applied a layer of hot glue to coupler tabs on some the coupler of older Atlas O 89' flat cars.
