After my relatively painless experience with lowering TMCC F3s, does anyone have some ideas on lowering the TMCC FTs? I can't use my normal technique, as these use the old style trucks.
Without see the actual pieces this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but. Assuming there is room and that the frame actually slips inside the cab body, just remove equal amounts of material from all (looks like four or six) mounting bosses. That way the cab body just side a little lower. Again not actually see unit that is just SWAG.
The picture shows flywheel motors, but I recall my FT's not having flywheels. Anyway, the top of the motor clearance may be a limiting factor if the motor really does have flywheels.
