All of my O Gauge locos are MTH. MTH recommends "Use light household oil"

MTH advises "Use light household oil" for my Gauge One Challengers, Big Boy, Hudsons etc. as well.

Most of my G Gauge locos are LGB and my favorite oil is LGB with its needle applicator but the LGB locos have a lot of plastic. This makes me wonder if LGB oil may be optimized for plastic even though it clearly is intended for metal wheel bearings as well.

Is there any reason not to use LGB oil on my MTH O Gauge and Gauge One locos and rolling stock?

Also, I have some S. LaRose, Inc. Oil in a needle spout tube. Does anyone know anything about it and it's suitability for trains? I think I got it at a train show somewhere.

I had some Lionel oil but with its short stubby applicator it was hard to use and most of it leaked out after I lost the cap.

My layout can get quite cold (40° or less) in the winter and quite hot (100° ?) in the summer. The factory lubes do very well. I just don't want to use something of lesser quality.

Thanks
