I haven't seen any bad effects from them. I'd place the breaker on the hot center before the TIU if you use one.  That way the DCS signal is generated after the breaker and any ill effects will be filtered out.  Putting it on the center rail should also isolate any problems it would create with TMCC signals as that is connected on the outside rail.
