The Manalapan Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee is sponsoring a Train display show to support the veterans in the town. It will be at the Manalapan Community Center 114 route 33 west, right past Peking Pavilion. Donations will be accepted at the door. Hours are 9am to 3pm this Sunday March 5th. This is the 2nd year we are doing the event. We will be joining Joe Mania of JLM Trains and friends operating trains that day. There will be 6 or 7 groups running trains on various layouts. Last year we had Stephen Baker, the touchdown maker, from the NY Giants of the 80's join us signing autographs and showing off his 1985 Super Bowl ring and memoribilia.

The word I received today was Stephen Baker of the NY Giants is joining us again for the day. If you are in the Manalapan, NJ area, stop by and say hello.
We are all set up with O gauge trains from pre-war to post-war, from wind up trains to modern scale trains and a nice American Flyer layout there. We have 9 layouts up and running.
Was a considerably bigger turnout than last year due to more publicity.
Some militaria on display.
The OCSMR tables had quite a bit of interest from the kids, even the young ones.
The rest of the layouts.
And ... Stephen Baker. He brought along some of his radio controlled model aircraft. For those who were used to a rock on a string (aka controline) or balsa gliders, the hobby has changed just as drastically in the same time frame that the O-gauge hobby has.
Find the drone.
We gave out quite a few of our new fliers and invited those to visit us on the Saturdays we'll be open. And, a standing invitation to Stephen Baker.

Yes, Stephen Baker is truly one of the fine ambassadors in pro football and he loves his model planes and helicopters.
