I just got to remembering Marty of "Ma & Pa Trains" & wondered if anyone knows anything current of him.  He used to be a regular seller, of mostly Williams stuff, at York, & often posted here on the forum.  I recall he was having health issues & gave up York several years ago, but know nothing of him since.

Well I assumed that much, Jim.  I was wondering about Marty himself.  If someone in the Baltimore area is/was friendly with him, I am sure they can update us on how he is, or, forbid, if he is no longer with us.  I don't think we need to be as formal as to go through the moderators of the Forum on a basic question like this.  I'm not seeking copies of his medical records.  Many Forumites knew Marty & were his customers, me included.  I am sure some are similarly curious.

Huh?

I think is was a general inquiry.  I'm sure if someone knows they don't need to clear it with OGR.

he may be a wannabe moderator, we don't need anymore, we have lost many informative members in the past few months from bad moderation.

"It is obvious that these do upset people these days."

Is anyone surprised that folks do not respond affirmatively to suggestions that you or I or anyone else conform to someone's notions of etiquette?  I do not think there have ever been universal standards of etiquette accepted by all members of society. Not necessarily a bad thing.  I consider the intent of the inquiry and the level of detail requested. I don't see a problem here, personally.
