Well after 65 plus years of operation, my bubbling water tower bulb blew.

There are no markings on the screw-in bulb to indicate whether it is a 14 or an 18 volt bulb.

I am currently using the 14 volt fixed accessory posts on my transformer for all of my accessories.

What voltage bulb should I replace it with?  I don't want to melt the plastic using the wrong voltage.

Thanks again.

When mine died a year or two ago, I took the burned-out bulb to the local Lionel dealer for a replacement.  He examined it and said it was a 14V bulb.  I've been using it ever since, so he must have been right.

I never run the Tower at a full 14V, though.  I have it connected to a small 25W transformer, to give it just enough power to get the tube bubbling without pushing the bulb to its limits.
