After I reached 13, and thought I was too embarrassed to play with toys anymore, (thankfully that phase didn't last very long), I emptied my 4x8 of Plasticville, turned my Marx train into a troop train for my Marx Battle of The Blue and Gray playset, and bingo!. The toys now seemed more mature! My friend across the back fence in the old neighborhood on Kansas City's eastside came over to my basement, and we made up a civil war battle game using the Marx soldiers. It was kind of like chess moves, as I recall, for attacks and counter attacks. The playset had cannons and mortars and a bombed bridge to make things more fun. The train carried troops to different parts of the battlefield. It kept us busy for a few weeks, until the attention span of thirteen year old boys was stretched thin.

Did anyone else do that, combining their Marx train and playset to make a whole different game?

Terry
