If anyone has a photo of the inside of a Marx lighted/whistle Girard station, would you be kind enough to post it? I just bought one today, and although I suspect the previous owner may have mucked with it, I can't be certain till I can see what an all-original one looks like.
Oh, and can anyone tell me what type of light bulb these stations are supposed to have? It doesn't have one at the moment, and I can't seem to find anything on-line to tell me.

Attached. As far as I know, no one has messed with it. The original bulb would have been a GE 428 but a 52 or any similar 12-14V bulb is fine too.

Many thanks! Someone added a second socket to mine, and I was pretty sure it didn't belong there.
I just got one but haven't hooked it up. Mine doesn't appear to have a light but has a motor (for the whistle?) Also, it's missing pins or nails or something to hold the roof on, what can I use to keep it secure?
The roof is held on by very small screws. Any of appropriate size will be adequate replacements. The motor is for the whistle. Since you already have the roof off, check the wiring and oil the whistle motor. Not all stations were lit.
I sold one of those recently. Had to bend the tabs and take the building off to servcie the whistle. There definitely was not a light. With the solid walls, there was no way a light could hav been seen.
I just tested mine the whistle sounded good but had a little bit of sparks and a sight burning smell.
