I combined two separate layouts that I had. One of the layouts had a curved rock cut area composed of WS rock mold sections - the curve is about 30” long by 4” high. the rock sections on one side were backed by a descending trestle which has now disappeared with the reconfigured layout - I want to preserve the rock cut since another part of the layout still passes through it.
per the photos below you can see that I have very little room behind the rock sections - perhaps an inch width to provide a support structure since I filled the void with a curved siding - I may be able to increase that width a bit more
I am eliciting ideas/ suggestions for a support structure since- I was contemplating a thin rock wall using a aluminum foil to simulate rocks - might have to divided in 2-3 sections because of the curve
any other ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated
Tom
