My son likes to run trains in the evening before bed so we're used to watching the lights flicker by as the trains dart around our layout. But this time instead of running the trains, my son thought it'd be fun to be the cameraman... a job title I usually have as he takes the throttle. It was fun showing him how to set up the camera, use the controls, and place it in spots around the layout to capture the scenes he wanted to share. As both a train guy and a content creator, this was a lot of fun to show him how to do this! Hope you enjoy the footage we made together!

Nicely done, you both did a great job! You’re teaching him well. I like the big hook action.

Those night trains look and run great! Well done! Thanks for posting!
I’ll check it out later, looking forward to your son’s directorial debut,
Not only well shot but nicely edited. Your son will grow up with many skills and a love of trains. Well done!

Try something like this the next time. The results are fun to look at. I hope you consider this as being on-topic.
