What reference books have been published on Marx, specifically the de lux plastic? The more I look at the 8-wheel plastic cars, the more I like 'em, and I'd like to see a compact reference on them if such an animal exists.

This is the pocket guide so no pictures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marx-...9:g:KoUAAOSw6QpbQ9ZY

Thanks, Steve! Still, I am looking for not only pics but descriptions. I really don't care about prices because I'm not going to start acquiring. I just want to know more.
If you find what you're looking for, please post the information here. I was searching for a good Marx reference book myself, and never did find one.
There are some out of print hard cover books about Marx including descriptions and pictures. I have 3 volumes. They can be found on the bay at prices as high as a hundred dollars each.
This is the only book made with pictures and descriptions. You want Vol 2. for plastic cars. Vol 1 was tin and Vol 3 was sets. All are about 25-30 years old so lacking some info, but still good.

A much more in depth book was in process, unfortunately the main person working it died unexpectedly somewhat young.
we don't need books...we have Papa Eastman!
you can try to locate a Greenberg Vol II. it used to be priced lower than Vol I, but i frankly haven't seen either for sale in a while... not that i've been looking. Vol II is probably a bit more accurate than Vol I as it is a lot harder to mess with original plastic vs. Marx tin.
good luck...gary
[oops.... should have refreshed before posting the reply, but at least you have a picture of the cover now ...]

Thanks, guys! That's the ticket. I may look for Vol 3, too.

Many of the early K-Line O-27 cars were made from the Marx deluxe plastic molds. Box car, rib side hopper, cattle car, bay window caboose, depressed center flat car... The early K-Line tank car and offset hopper were from the AMT/KMT molds.
I have the three....third was signed by author, a friend, now deceased, as is another friend in Chicago, who l had encouraged to do a Marx book. He passed away immediately after honeymoon ...l did not know he was working on a book. Is that the same person, Mr. Eastman?
