I really missed out on the stock cars. Many of the boxcars were offered punched with slots or embossed as stock cars. Being as I got into the modern Marx a bit late, I did not pick any up direct from the company and they were selling for much more than boxcars on the aftermarket. As a result, I only have a few. In fact I have more from Joe's Trains than I do from Marx Trains. They still seldom show up.

I think I have only seen the Burlington, and have never seen an unpunched stock car...did they also do a punched U. P.? An unpunched one must have been the end of the trail for New Marx?

I believe they referred to this version as the embossed stockcar. Nice find.

Here's a Marx archive prototype for two road names they never produced. Interestingly one side of the car is ventilated and the opposite side is embossed.
