Marx Trains did not begin selling boxed sets until the white Rock Island set of 1995. Prior to that, they were making various freight cars. The CP engine would be the first in 1994.
Passenger cars were put out in a set of 4 cars. The even number cars, part number 5192 were released in 1992. The odd numbered set of 4 was released in 1993. Each set had open windows or if 5192X and 5193X, they had litho windows. Each car was named after a city that the Flynn's had visited. In 1995 they begin to offer all of the passenger car names with lights, sold separately as item number 5195. You had to specify the name/number you wanted. The Hudson Bay combine was sold separately beginning in late 1994. The 8341 engine and tender set was also released in late 1994. All of these are seen quite regularly on E-bay. in 1996, they did begin to offer value set 10552 with the 8341 in 0-4-0 configuration and 4 unlit coaches with random names.
