Anyone going to make a big train purchase should remember that this coming weekend is tax free weekend in Massachusetts. Charlie Ro should be wall to wall people who will be saving money.

WOW Marty...great info for the guys in your part of the country!! We have a tax free day here around the start of school but it does not include all purchases....like trains

Alan, we have a lot of train guys in my area. Last year it was wall to wall.
It's tax free in Delaware everyday, 365. Check out Just Trains.

Agreed Mike. I have been going to Charles Ro from 1973 to present. All my Lionel Legacy comes from Charles Ro. I have been at Charles Ro with many forum members from other states and they have all been happy with the trip. When Charlie has an open house, a few guys drive down from Canada. PTC and Elizabeth drive down from Maine. I guess I am spoiled as I only live a few miles from CR.
For all you guys that don't live in Indiana, which is like 98 percent of you, all your orders from MrMuffin's are sales tax free, and with free shipping at $300, it's sort of the same thing, without the crowds. Lol.
Got to love those back to school tax free sales. Make sure your kids have the latest cloths, shoes, schools supplies and a Big Boy for the first day of class!

I make the pilgrimage to Charlie Ro a few times a year from tax free NH 1 hour north. I wish we had a model train superstore up here, we just have smaller stores.
When will California do that?
A good friend of mine works in an appliance store in Fall River, Mass. and they are always extremely busy on tax free weekend.
