Congratulations on your retirement from a former "LT". I am entering my 11th year since retiring from the CHP and I am just about to start building my layout.

Thanks everyone.  Don is the one that has inspired me all the way.  Like he said, I have the room, the track, switches. the layout plan, DCS, Legacy Command,

Z-4000, about 15 buildings I made from kits, many locomotives and cars.  They have all been stacked in a closet from floor to ceiling...waiting for this day.  Even have the backdrops up.  I do have a small diorama that I built which I take my photos on.  Now I will have the main ingredient...the time!  Matt

Most of us retired guys have found that we are just as busy now as when we were working.  The big difference is that we are busy with the things that we enjoy.  We can proudly say "I am the boss of me".  

I am looking forward to seeing more of your modeling on the forum.

Forgot to say Matt and I reconnected after about 20 years through this forum. He kept us safe doing nights shots of gangs. I had no idea he was into trains. He's a great guy. Don

Matt....congrats on your retirement and now you can have FUN!!  You sure fooled me though....I thought you had a layout with all of the beautiful pictures you have posted.  So...with what you have done with a small display...holy cow, your layout is going to be a masterpiece!!  Don't forget to let OGR put it in the magazine when you are ready!
