I am curious as to whether there is a maximum number of Cab2 controllers that can be used with a legacy base on a layout? Do some large club layouts have say, nine or ten operators running their trains simultaneously, each with a separate Cab2 controller?
Yep, I've heard someone say the magic number is 16, but since I could never get that many CAB2's in one place at one time, I've never tested it. I know we've had six or seven people all running with a CAB2 at club events, no issues arose because of the number of remotes in use. I suspect the NJ-HR folks have probably had that many and more at their events, and I never heard that mentioned as a problem when I was up there.
