hello , in few words , i bought an mth aem 7  proto sound dcru  reverse unit , i drive on dc using currently old french jep and us rolling stock k-line and rail king ,i have also an ps3 traxx , all this ,drive succesfully .

unfortunatly the aem seems to be dedicated to ac , first i change the battery , but everytime when i put the power , following the process of getting out reseting system , i hear the twoo bells but i cant leave the process ,i try whith an old hornby ac 20v , hopefully ,few times i reach to drive  switching ac to dc ,the reverse /forward /neutral works good , but every stop more of 4 sec need to put again the ac transformer to try to get a start

i am earing every proposition /thanks for help

If it has battery it is a Protosounds engine not DCRU which is just an electronic reverse unit with no sounds.   You must use AC power that is like or close to pure AC (Old Lionel Post War transformer).  Initial voltage needs to be less than 10 VAC to come out of reset.  Must have a good battery so the engine can play shutdown sounds when the power is turned off.  So if you have a good battery, make sure battery harness is good too.

If good transformer and battery but still not coming out of reset may be a programming issue requiring tech chip.  G
