Lionel or K-Line cars???  I have many more K-Line size cars, no matter who sold them, than the Lionel size. Did a forum search but found nothing.....Anyone??

The Menards website lists the size of the cars they sell. In this case, the new ore cars are indicated thusly:

Dimensions: 7"L (coupler to coupler) x 2-1/8"W x 3"H

I have six Lionel ore cars: 6-6126 (3), 6-6127, 6-19300 & 6-19301. They are all 7"L (coupler to coupler) x 2 3/8"W  x 3"H. I guess they are the same length and height, but 1/4" wider than the Menards ore cars. Hope that helps.

I have been studying pictures of a Lionel ore car and a pair of Menard's ore cars.  Near as I can tell based on careful scrutiny of the pictures, they are the exact same car with only a few very minor little differences.  And I don't think width is one of them.  I'll bet they are produced from the exact same molds, and hence in reality the exact same width (whatever that is), regardless of what dimensions have been reported by the manufacturers.

Admittedly, I don't own either brand of ore cars.  We'll simply have to wait on someone who does end up with some of each brand to confirm if they are the same size or not.
