Was wondering if anyone else would be interested in Memards producing an O scale Chick-fil-A. They have made some great model buildings in the past and I feel like a lot of people would want one of these in their layouts. I know I sure would!

No because it won't light up on Sundays.
To be accurate the Chick-fil-A bldg would need two drive thru lanes and enough vehicles lined up to go around the bldg and spill out into the street. Maybe about 30 vehicles. One location here in town has had three drive thru lanes for years.
Like Yogi said, "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded".
Any building from Menards would be great. I don't care what they make. Please Menards make something.
Seems if the Taco Bell was a hit we'd see more current structures. Add to it Chick-fil-a is pretty strict on allowing their copyright usage.

Be a rebel and open your layout version on Sundays. People would drive through multiple states to get to yours!
What about a Jack in a box ? If you ever lived in the southwest or visited like I did in 88 ( Mesa , AZ ) you may have seen one .
what about a BOY BLUE Ice cream stand , there were many around up to the 80 or 90's .
what about a wooden Grain Elevator ?
That would be awesome. Especially if it smelled like fried chicken when you plugged it in!
Yes, I would like that and other fast food joints as well. They made a Taco Bell and Starbucks. I'm always hearing copyright, trademark, etc. but our HO and N brothers and sisters have all of the modern era restaurants. Am I missing something?

I would like an In and Out Burger!

Menard's has to do all things dealing with copyright above table.
I have seen some of the HO scale fast food kits available on the market. Most are limited runs, laser cut kits by micro manufactures. When I had a model car manufacturing biz we often operated on a 'don't ask for permission, ask for forgiveness' system. At times when we did seek a licence a company would tell us it was not worth all the paperwork for hem to get $75 in fees from me. So as long as I kept low and behaved they left me alone. I had one beer sponsored race team tell me they'd like to license me but the beer company did not allow them to do so. BUT....if I did produce something and kept it on the low....they'd not bother me. I bet many of these operate in the same manor.
Just my 2 cents.....
I am in on a Chick fil A building as long as it's on fire.
I say let Menards concentrate on their locomotive(s) for now. They can always get back to buildings after those F3’s/FP7’s are perfected!
For me, I would like to see a Krispy Kreme; Dept 56 offered one so I suspect that K K might be open to licensing.
Considering that Menards knows how get things licensed, and considering that MTH has done Chick-fil-A trains in the past, I'm sure it is a possibility, especially if Menards made CFA rolling stock as well -- like they currently do with M&M's. They could probably even do several CFA buildings -- stand alone and maybe as part of a mini-mall.

Well Menards has made 2 fire stations, police station, school bus garage ,etc. I would like them to make a hospital with emergency entrance and a helipad. I will be happy with whatever they make ( glad they do) but that is my #1 wish list item. Keep up the great work Menards!!!!

My wife is a Director/Manager at the local Chick-fil-A, and I can assure you that even your 30-car estimate might be too low. The facility she is at has two drive-through lanes and they are packed nearly all the time and every day. That particular franchise has done a fantastic business during the pandemic, as have most Chick-fil-A restaurants. My recommendation to the franchise owner was to not open for indoor dining until well after this COVID stuff is fully under control. No need to open since they are doing so well just as it is now. I am **** glad that they are closed on Sundays because otherwise my spouse would never get a day off. They truly are that busy, and, like virtually every other business, always looking for good, reliable workers (ALWAYS in short supply these days because too many people just do not want to work anymore)..

Actually, people drive ridiculously long distances just to get to the Chick-fil-A where my wife works. I assume that is true for other locations as well. The stories she comes home with a amazing. personally, I rarely eat at Chick-fil-A, although I really like their Market Salad (I think that's what it's called), which is first rate. I just normally don't eat much chicken when I dine out. And I do dine out often because Wendy works ridiculously long hours.
If Menards makes a Chick-fil-A I will buy one.
Yes, I would buy one.
I have no Menards products, and it's out of my modeling era, but I would display it on a shelf with some scale vehicles.
I occasionally have to fly into Denver for work ... there's one in the United concourse ... it is always the busiest food place there. Amazing. And still .... closed on Sundays.

For some reason, there was one long ago in Roselle NJ when I was a kid. It was the first 24-hour fast food joint back then. It was really hopping after the bars closed real late at night ... parking lot full of people wolfing down tacos and such. I was one. lol.

Which brings up the question: have any of the model RR detail manufacturers, especially outfits who specialize in "people", issued any scale people wearing masks yet? Or maybe offering tiny little 1:48 masks themselves? (The figures' ears better be modeled with good definition.) You know, for those guys with modern-era layouts.
Don't forget the Dog! With every building you get a German Shepard.
I would buy a White Castle or Waffle House way before Chick-fil-a. I guess I have a iron stomach.
Well, if Menards ever wants to do a Chick-fil-A building (and is able to do so), I can certainly provide them with photos of one of the busiest locations nationwide.
