Are these tops removable? One end lifted right off but the other end seems like it may be glued. Perhaps Mark can chime in on this one. I really don't want to force the other end up as I don't want to snap the plastic top. These cars are awesome. I was thinking about loading these with coal. (assuming I can get the top all the way off.

Did you check and see if there are screws or bolts/nuts attached to the roof?

All of mine just pop off with a little effort. The post on the top

goes into a hole of the body.

The factory gets a little carried away with glue sometimes. In theory, it should pop off easily (as Cabinet Bob mentioned).
