Has anyone found a fix for the pilot on the Menards F7 touching the middle rail and sparking and shorting as it moves down the track?  I have tried a couple of things to raise the pilot slightly which have not worked.  When the pilot touches the rail, the engine stops briefly and then starts back up.  Problem is the pilot drops down too low.  Can not really run the engine with that happening.

Or, am I the only one with this issue?

The easiest fix is some electrical tape on the bottom of the pilot. You could also file a notch in it.

Unfortunately, it is a common problem, due to poor/inconsistent manufacturing quality.

I added a piece of cardboard underneath the pilot, lifting it up away from the center rail.  See my post with photos and video on the 3.0 review thread.

Thanks for posting again.  I could not find your original post even thought I knew I had seen it.
