Just put up a brief review of the Menards flat car on my blog. Nothing to revolutionary, but I did try to get some detailed shots of the trucks, comparing them to those from a Lionel and MTH RTR sets.

Note that it is a wargaming-foscused blog so it's a two part review with the first being related to Menards cars as wargaming scenery. Halfway down is the more railroader-focused section.

none in southern calif so we use mail order.
since you have not run the flats yet you might be interested in this thread.
also be aware that the wheels are about 1/16 of an inch too close. get a known good wheel set and compare. if you do not gauge them they will hang up on switches, atlas and fastrack.

the only Menards flats I have are three of the cars with the 6x6 Deuce and trailer. I understand they are larger than some of the other Menards flatcars. I really like them - wish had bought several more.
Unfortunately the individual flatcars are only available in-store. However, it would seem that it wouldn't be to hard to find a local railroader or two to to split one of the 20-flatcar-packs which are available via mail order.
just received another case of 24 flat cars from menards.
they have fixed the couplers by doing the grinding shown in the link above.
the wheels are still about 1/16 of an inch too close, and raise up on switches.
still a great deal for what I do with them.

How many Flatcars in total do you have from Menards? Seems every time I see you, you buying another box of Flats.
