Received my mystery box in yesterday's mail.  Living in northeast Ohio there is no Menards nearby so mail order was my only option and that brought the total spent to $116.00.  Once opened an almost mint condition American Power & Light building was well packaged in bubble wrap.  A roof mounted transformer assembly needed regluing and 2 of the building lights also needed gluing to remain in place.  Other goodies included were 3 freight cars.  A triple dome tank car lettered for US Army diesel fuel, a 38' flatcar with a Freightliner Budweiser delivery truck on top and another similar flatcar with a way under-scale tour bus attached.  There were 2 die cast automobiles, a G scale policeman figure and a Menards baseball cap.  All were in good shape and needed no repairs.  I may keep the flatcars and place scale loads on them since they are detailed enough to nicely blend in with O scale freight cars.  The Budweiser delivery truck looks to be close to O scale while the tour bus appears to be between HO and S scale.  My sister also received her mystery carton from her local Menards and got 2 American Power & Light buildings; one in mint condition and one needing repairs.  3 freight cars, 2 die cast autos, a G scale figure and the baseball cap.  All in all not a bad deal though some carton contents seem to be better than others.  I guess it depends on who packages them at the warehouse.

I think mine was one of the "others". I got a Morton Salt building that appears to be an early model or prototype. It has about half the outside lights with none in the loading bay, no people (or dog), no scenery, and all wood construction with glue everywhere. Two cars had bent trucks so the axles fell out; one axle had spilled superglue on it so it would not turn. I still got my money's worth, just not what some other people got. I will probably try again before I complain too much. I have great admiration for what the company has done for the hobby, and for standing behind their products.
