Bought some of both. Apparently then Menards track ties are mounted further back from the end of the track than the original Lionel track such that the Lionel track clips won’t work?
Can others confirm or deny that?? Any one else using track clips on Menards track?

Confirmed. I had to tack the track down in several spots to keep the track together for any length of time.
Menards track has been improved from the earlier production. It is much tighter than it used to be. The Lionel track clips do not work but I have seen people use rubber bands or bread ties which seem to work well
Now if only Menards would make the 022 and 072 switches.......
