Menards on your layout

Here's my barn , have more but not on layout yet .

I have a number of buildings pick up at Menards. Still in their case, I call it Bubble City! These are a few of them.

Just got the WWII flat car last week with the truck and water buffalo on very satisfied and will be ordering the Army box car.   Would like to see some RR Heralds from the southeast such as Southern, N&W, Clinchfield, C&O, Atlantic Coast Line, Family Lines, L&N,  Seaboard and more. 

 

 

 

I like to get the new cabinet factory but I need to figure out how to incorporate into the layout. I'm a lazy scenery guy.

Menards is making it easier.

Menards certainly has released a bunch of different loads for their flatcars.

I probably won't be getting any of their products, but if I did I'd get the hobby shop and get a Miller Madison Hardware sign and mount on it, doing away with the sign it comes with

I plan on getting the Hobbie Shop and putting my OR Miller sign on it.

What a GREAT farm scene!!! 

You guys need to stop posting pics of those cool box trucks!  Some of us can't get them down here in the South!  

 

They are cool though!  I, so far, only have the Camraderie Bar and the Menards Store.  I am wanting a few more though!

tackindy   You can get anything you want from Menard's.  Order them through there Web site. And then a few days later you will have them.

I have moved my Menards buildings back and forth between the home layout and my modules for the National Capital Trackers.

Here's some taken at the National Museum of the Marine Corps show in March. Just the Bar/Grill and engine House were used there.

 

 

 

Last month at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, the Train Store joined the village.

 

 

 

 

 

I expect three buildings will be on the modules tomorrow at the Beltsville, MD Days show. I'll get photos and a movie for "Weekend at the Movies" including them.

 

 

 

 

Yep, bought a couple of the Menards box trucks. Painted one, added RR decals to both. Heck of a deal for the price.

I have only half of a Menard's vehcile on my layout- the rear stakebed of the truck that came with the Seed and Feed - with 1950 ERTL Chevy truck cab replacing the modern Ford, since I model the '50s.  

 

I have a number of the buildings though: two of the quonset hut made into a boat builders shop, on permanently, the Hobby shop (not on the layout now, and theSeed and Feed and the new one, both shown here, just sitting about where each  will be when I get to re-developing the upmost level.  This upper level will be all Menards buildings, so I figure to call it Menard's Plaza.

 

I like Menards O-gauge product line, I have a few of them and they all look great. The only car I really did not like is the original Tank on trailer car. That said my friend and I split the Menards flat car bulk order and I will kit-bash my own Tank carriers as soon as I find acceptable Tank models. I also have a number of the military cars as well as their Heating and Air-conditioning service vans that will be on my layout front and center.

My only suggestion to Menards is to do a little work with their web-site shipping department, a notification of split orders would be greatly appreciated by all. 

 

That said it is generally a great product line, shipping is fast and their new sprung loaded trucks are an appreciated improvement. 

My Menards buildings went on the road yesterday. Here they are on the modules at the National Capital Trackers layout, Beltsville, MD Community Day show.

 

 

I just received these military flats,  yesterday and I gotta say I will be buying from Menards alot more,  great detail and their buildings look fantastic.
