Menards Rebates

Which is exactly why the rebate program isn't going to change.

This subject has been beaten into the ground.   The rebate program has been in effect since before Menards started selling their own train stuff.

I don't think Menards train items need a rebate. Do you really need 11% off a $20 car?

Suggestions:  If you can't use the rebate coupon you get, accumulate some and list them in the For Sale or Trade forum here -- they are transferrable, after all.

Likewise:  If you can use Menard's rebate coupons, offer to buy them in the WTB forum at a good discount.

You could send the rebate coupons to a Disabled Veterans of America chapter in an area with a Menards store.  The coupon would be used for materials to make life easier for a disabled vet.  John

I live about 4 1/2 hours from the nearest Menards which is in Barboursville,WV. I save up the rebates until I make a trip that direction. They are great stores. I  sure there people willing to take your rebate off your hands.

I ended up posting it on the For Sale Or Trade forum FREE and fellow forum members responded immediately.

It was the least I could do for people who have helped others so selflessly.

If you want to address Menards to try to get them to change their email program, email the company at guest@menard-inc.com.

There’s no point to a forum member repeating this tiresome complaint. As has been said hundreds of times before right here, the rebate program is Menards’ way to bring traffic into their stores, not a “sale price” in the way some stubborn forum members continue to view it.

This rebate program has been going on for decades, and it isn’t going to change so that 100 or so hobbyists can get a benefit that no one else has gained. Trains are a sideline, a very small, as in minuscule, part of Menards’ business and already priced incredibly low.

Not to continue this topic longer but am I missing something, I just went to the Menards site, printed my form and mailed in my rebate.  Not trip to the store required.

This has been discussed over and over in a multitude of threads on this forum.  Menards is well aware of how folks feel and so when they are ready to make changes in their marketing plan, I am sure we will be among the first to know.  Topic closed.
