This is for the Menard rep here on O-gauge Forum:

Has Menards ever thought about doing something for those purchasers who do not live near a Menards? My closest Menards is over 600 miles (not a practical trip just to buy trains).

I recognize the rebates are a way to get shoppers into their stores, but since Menards is pretty much a Midwestern company, many do not live anywhere near a Menards. Couldn't help but to boost a small percentage of sales.

If you want to address Menards to try to get them to change their email program, email the company at guest@menard-inc.com.

There’s no point to a forum member repeating this tiresome complaint. As has been said hundreds of times before right here, the rebate program is Menards’ way to bring traffic into their stores, not a “sale price” in the way some stubborn forum members continue to view it.

This rebate program has been going on for decades, and it isn’t going to change so that 100 or so hobbyists can get a benefit that no one else has gained. Trains are a sideline, a very small, as in minuscule, part of Menards’ business and already priced incredibly low.
