Agree
Gondola's would be a great addition to their line.
scale gondolas
Maybe suggest to Menards which ones to clone or model. Maybe we can come up with a consensus on details.
Yes...I'm just starting to look at gondolas! Gondolas with LOADS!
Maybe Menards could do different lengths like they did with their flat cars.................Paul

Where did you get that red MKT gondola?
Gondolas have my vote!
Log or wood load car?
The SOO LINE had a variety of gondolas that are not made in O scale. Most of these modern gondolas were built by Thrall Car.

Since most of Menards' rolling stock is cloned from existing postwar-era Lionel cars, why not:
--agree on a particular prototype (that there is a hot one ) that isn't a postwar Lionel or WBB-style gondola.
--locate a source of them in HO (obviously) so that perhaps Mark can obtain a few to use as samples (because use for multiple roadnames are kind-of a necessity--these aren't ever going to be rivet-counter-grade-only-in-protoypical-paintscheme-models).
--The engineers in China should then be able to upsize a physical model in addition to copying every last nuance. All that would be needed is alterations to mount Menards' existing trucks.
---PCJ
Atlas, Athearn, and ExactRail have made several modern gondolas in N and HO scale that railroads such as SOO LINE, Chicago & North Western, Wisconsin Central, BN, ROCK, and ICG had after 1970.
