People, people!! How about we thank Menards for producing new O gauge tubular track.. & not get all into a pointless thing over Super O. That horse is dead. Haven't people from Lionel said the Super O dies were either lost, damaged or destroyed? For Menards, this is a substantial investment.... and is much appreciated.
Bob.... are the ties stamped with "Menards," "Made in China," or any other wording?
I was just thinking the same thing??

Mark and RadioRon,
To answer your question, there are no markings stamped into the metal.

Count me in on the Super-O redux!
Thanks, Phil
Hey Mark
How about some track clips and lockons...
HI Mark,Imhope you open a store in New Hampshire! I'm also for the Super O redux.
Hi RadioRon - I hear what you are saying, but I don't plan to use the tinplate track, though I think it is cool that Menards is offering it. I "thank" Menards in other ways by purchasing their cars and buildings. On the other hand, perhaps Menards is looking for another profit opportunity - like a rebirth of the Super-O could be (?)
The tinplate track is pretty easy to do - simple construction. As the Super-O molds are lost, there would be more investment in starting it back up. Menards has the deep pockets to do it, if the profits might justify. I cannot answer that question.
I think I will order a few cases, and await the curves. Just hope the curves would have the same amount of track ties like Lionel, but at least someone is making tubular besides Williams by Bachmann!! Kudos to Menards!!!!
Since a kid, when I used 0-27 and 0-34 for Marx, I have never liked the look of Lionel
"O guage" track. Didn't K-Line make some other radii in track compatible with 0-27?
I won't use tubular track (except maybe in tunnels), but it is great that there is a
supplier for it. I doubt if they will produce 0-27 compatible, though, and if they are
making the track, what more are them going to offer to run on it?
Hi Everyone,
There were some questions about whether or not our track plays well with magnets. Here's proof that it does! Your magnatraction equipped locomotives will work just fine with this high tensile steel track!
Thank you,

Menard's,
I am very glad and pleased that you are producing "O" Gauge tubular track. I have a question, do you have plans to produce "O" Gauge switches in the future? Also, if you are planning on making switches, will they be manual, remote or both. What about bumpers to placed at the ends of side tracks.

Jim,
In my opinion that would be the next logical step. However, I don't have any insider information to share with you in regards to switches at this time.

Mark,
Thank you for reply. Please let as us know as soon as your hear something. I think it would be a great idea and Mark, there definitely is a need for "O" Gauge tubular switches.
I was just at my local Menards and saw the new track. It looks very sturdy looks like galvanized steel. I also noticed the track pins were loose when connected so you will need pliers to tighten the connection. I tried both the curves and straights with same results.

Is the track bright and shiny? Some of the photos I have seen it has like a tarnish to it.
