Looks awesome on my train layout. No shortcuts on these items.

From the one picture things look nice. Menard's is carving out a nice niche in the train market. Their structures are highly detailed, realistic looking and all their train items are affordably priced. It would not surprise me if we start seeing powered units in the near future.

I'd be very surprised if Menards went in the direction of motive power. That's a whole different can of worms fraught with countless headaches.
Yeah these structures to me seem like a good "value". For example, the $99 Morton Salt factory comes with two animated signs. How much would those two signs cost alone? Retail on those from Miller Engineering was $50 each. So... when you buy the building it's almost like paying for the two signs and then getting the building, LED lighting, and figures for FREE! To me that's good "value".
Real nice products at a great price. The way they market them and the frequency of releases is a pleasant change from the ordinary catalog, order, pray it gets made then wait and wait model of business.
I am loving the buildings Menards has been making and at a reasonable price. They have made buildings outside the box which is great. I look forward to more. On another note I don't think Menards would get into the motive end unless they were able to get pre existing tooling and then maybe not because you would have to service them too.............Paul
I use RMT (Ready Made Trains) RDC chasses and Industrial Rail streetcar's to power kitbashes. Does RMT have service? I could see Menard's finding a source like that for modern diesels. Aren't their cars diesel era? As for the "sauerkraut" plant, l jumped on it as it is similar to, but, detailed and done, to an O scale kit for a pickle plant, that was hiding and unknown until this smoked it out. I hope for more structures and, yes, locos, from Menard's.
