Mencius was a revered Chinese philosopher who lived from 372 to 289 BC. One of his famous quotes is "The great man is he who does not lose his child's heart." With many of us men, and a few women, having been exposed to these wonderful and engaging toy trains as children with all the wonder that engendered, it is no surprise we still have that child's heart within our aging bodies. Many of us continue that excitement and wonder with our trains today, some even fortunate enough to still possess those very childhood trains. Having read Ron Hollander's recent TCQ column, it reminded me of the quote by Mencius.
