Happy Wednesday.  I know, I am late to the game, but the Midweek thread goes on and on.  I have a few recent pics to show, and then I will leave the thread in your capable hands.

I got some interesting light on local trains in the last weekend or so.  The above photo is the return of a Steamtown Halloween excursion to Gouldsboro, PA, or "Ghouls-boro" as we call it this time of year.  Arriving in Scranton, the trees were absolutely perfect to view in the mid afternoon Sun.

On Sunday, October 27, some switching maneuvers in the yard led to this side-by side view of the Lackawanna F3s next to the Reading FP7s.  Unusual light allowed for this shot, plus the reflective number boards on the units' noses.  These locomotives are normally not very close to one another, so photographing them right next to each other is pretty swell.

Late afternoon Sun led to this view of the Steamtown Visitor Center well lit, and Reading 4-8-4 no. 2124 cast in the shadows.  Very "fall-looking" even without nearby shrubbery changing colors.

Short week for me.  I hope you like these, and are willing to share some of your own photos.  Have a Happy Halloween tomorrow.  This Sunday begins Standard Time for many of us, so enjoy your extra hour of sleep, or your extra early hour of rail-fanning.  See you next week.

Once again, nothing really new this week, so I dug some two-year old shots out of the archives as a reminder that winter is coming.

Former BN SD60M 6812 trails on a westbound autorack. All of the ex-BN SD60Ms have been sold by NS, and I believe most are destined for scrapping.

NS SD70ACU 7305 leads an eastbound trash train through the crossing. Note the icicles above the fuel tank.

In this slightly retouched screenshot, C44-9W 9942 kicks up a cloud of powder flying through Haysville with the same westbound autorack seen above.

Finally, if I am permitted to do so, I would like to submit a photo of one of my activities that has taken much of my time down in Williamsburg. This is a shot of the encampment of the 7th Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line at Mount Harmon plantation. The College has a company of students (obviously called "The College Company") who participate in reenactments in our spare time.
