Happy Hump Day boys and girls!
http://nyow.org/glory.html Follow this link for information on a "Camelback" locomotive accident. These mid-boiler cab steam locomotives were symbolic of the Anthacite region of Pennsylvania, and their design, with the engineer and fireman separated, led to their denis on any railroad that had the funds to make them end-cab engines. Similar to a camel, I have hit a dry-spell in railroading this week. My free days were either train-free, or kind of dark and gloomy. I hope your recent chases resulted in better images.
These two images capture the Delaware Lackawanna RR RS3 and their "big hook" coming into the yard at Steamtown in Scranton. One of the D-L diesels picked a switch, leading to a few wheels on the ground. I wasn't able to take any photos of the re-railing, and it was not that spectacular.
Please post any photos of real railroading you have encountered in the last few days or weeks. We all enjoy looking at your trains. Have a great week.
